There are as many as 20 million people in the world who are proud of their Polish origin. All these people have a huge potential that needs to be combined to serve Poland in the world and help create a modern image of the country, Polish culture, science, art and economy.

Nicolaus Copernicus is "the man who stopped the Sun and moved the Earth", as he is commonly referred to. However, this was someone with truly versatile interests who thoroughly revolutionized science. This year marks the 550th anniversary of his birth.

It was with great sadness that I received the news that H.E. Shevah Weiss had passed away. A wonderful man, a Jew, an Israeli patriot who loved and respected Poland. Knight of the Order of the White Eagle. A great loss for us and for Polish-Israeli relations. RIP.

However, it is difficult to understand the delay of German decisions regarding the supply of heavy equipment to Ukraine. Most of the German media have trouble understanding their chancellor's decision. 2023 marks the 160th anniversary of the outbreak of the January Uprising. Despite the passage of years, the echoes of this uprising have not ceased in the public debate. An important and difficult question - "to fight (for the freedom of your country) or not to fight?" – thanks to him, it returns in Central Europe even today. The sense and significance of the act of the January insurgents cannot be understood without the historical context of the entire region of Central Europe, today's territory of Poland, Ukraine, Lithuania and Belarus.

The time has come to bring this character closer to the next generation of Poles living or born in emigration, especially since Józef Mackiewicz was a Polish writer who lived most of his life in emigration. This is the right time to say why emigration did not like him and his homeland condemned him to oblivion.

It's time for this message to reach the Polish and Polish-diaspora elites. This potential can not only help strategically support Polish interests, but also help change the image of Poland.
