Actor, director, producer, screenwriter, writer and lecturer, Marek Probosz has once again achieved great success in New York. He performed there at the United Solo Theater Festival, where he played the main role in the play "Powrot Norwida" (Norwid's Return), which he directed.
The New York festival of monodramas is the largest cultural event of this type in the world. It was with even greater pride and joy that we received the news that our compatriot, Marek Probosz, won the prestigious "Best New York Premiere" award this year for the best premiere performance, which was "Norwid's Return".
The performance, based on the texts of the great Polish poet Cyprian Kamil Norwid, according to the script by prof. Kazimierz Braun, had its American premiere on November 13, 2022 on New York's Broadway.
It was a real masterpiece of acting, and at the same time an expression of appreciation for Polish culture, as well as respect and admiration for the "eternal wanderer" Cyprian Kamil Norwid, whose poetry, filled with love and longing for Poland, delights millions of people around the world.
The event was honored by the presence of the Consul General of the Republic of Poland in New York, Adrian Kubicki, who congratulated the artist on a successful performance. Stan Borys with his partner Ania Maleady, who was present in the audience, also joined the congratulations.
The awarded performance won the most votes in the competition for the best New York premiere in a one-man theatre.
