We talk little about it, but it is our national trait to be a humble and proud nation, while others promote their own actions, even if they are irrelevant. With some disbelief, I listen to the words that Great Britain has always helped Poland. I listen with fear to the words about the "second Afghanistan," and about the new alliance Great Britain-Poland-Ukraine, which is perhaps supposed to force France and Germany to be more active.

The war can be seen in the faces of soldiers walking with long arms, in the eyes of policemen controlling drivers and their luggage, in military cars traveling almost all roads in the country. You can hear it in conversations in shops, pharmacies, railway stations, and bus stops. In Ukraine, everyone expects a Russian invasion at any moment.

On November 19, 2021, Prime Minister Morawiecki met with the US National Intelligence Director, Ms. Avril Haines. The meeting was also attended by the heads of the Ministry of Interior and Administration, the Ministry of National Defense and the presidential BBN (National Security Bureau). The visit had not been previously announced and took place as part of urgent allied consultations on the situation on NATO's eastern flank.

The greatest threat to the security of the United States at present is the partisan perception of US politics. Putting party interests above the American raison d'etat causes the greatest dysfunction of the American political system and it is a threat not only to the US political system, but also a threat to the global security system.

A discussion about the US-Russia summit in Geneva swept the world. Putin has strengthened his position wherever his policies are supported, and Biden, with his liberal-democratic lineage promoting democracy and human rights, presented himself as a man holding an olive branch with an already wobbling hand.

We, the Presidents of the Republic of Poland, the Republic of Estonia, Ukraine, the Republic of Latvia and the Republic of Lithuania, meet today in Warsaw to celebrate the 230th anniversary of the adoption of the May 3rd Constitution. The adoption in 1791 of this important act regulating the legal system of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth was of historical importance, as it was the first modern basic law adopted on our continent and the second in the world.

On Tuesday, April 6, 2021, the first President of independent Ukraine (1991-1994) Leonid Kravchuk suggested that the talks about the future of Ukrainian-Russian war should be moved from Belarus to Poland. Because of recent actions by both Presidents Lukashenka and Putin, Minsk cannot be regarded as an objective peace broker between Ukraine and Russia.

Recent tensions between Biden and Putin reflect a long-term confrontation between the US and Russia. Let us approach this continuous threat from a broader geopolitical perspective. The United States needs tools to continue securing peace in Europe while focusing on China.

Once again, we are starting to see more about the importance of the NATO Alliance in our media. Perhaps, Poland’s place in the Alliance will also get some positive attention. We shall see! But just what is NATO? And how did Poland become a member?

In her list of priorities, Poland should pay more attention to careful strategic planning beyond current tactical concerns. Poland needs to create a plan of connecting with her neighbors: Lithuania, Ukraine, and Belarus in a network of connectivity. The plan should also include the analysis of any obstacles to such connectivity development potential.

This year, due to the Covid-19 epidemic, the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) was organized by the American Conservative Union not as usual near Washington, but at the huge conference center of the Hyatt Regency hotel in Orlando.
