It's time to file away our own electoral preferences and make a cold analysis of the role played by the American Polonia in the service of the Polish nation.

Building a positive image of Poland abroad requires titanic work and the inclusion of all forces friendly to Poland in this task. The largest and strongest of these groups is the Polish diaspora, which on a global scale includes approximately 20 million Poles and people of Polish origin.

Kuryer Polski was born in hardship and uncertainty, after all, its creator - Michał Kruszka, had already had two unsuccessful publishing attempts behind him. I live and work in Florida. I participated in the successful election campaign of the incumbent US President, Donald J. Trump in 2016 as a member of the organization "Polish Americans for Trump". I was also part of the Polish delegation invited to board the Trump plane, then still a presidential candidate, where I had the opportunity to talk to him personally and express our organization's support for his candidacy.

What do we know about the influence of Poles on American culture? We mention a few names: Pola Negri, Helena Modrzejewska and it ends there, but if you look closely, there are more Poles in the multinational mosaic of American culture than we would expect. In this article, I would like to introduce you to another great American actress of Polish origin - Gilda Gray, or Marianna Michalska from Krakow.

The coronavirus pandemic since March has caused much tangible and less tangible damage but may have had a positive impact on some processes. Despite social isolation, it had a positive impact on the integration of the Polish community.
