On November 28 – December 1, 1943 in Tehran a meeting of the leaders of the anti-Nazi coalition (the so-called Big Three): US President Franklin Delano Roosevelt, British Prime Minister Winston Churchill and Soviet leader Joseph Stalin, was held. Key decisions were made there to end World War II, and Central and Eastern Europe was sold there for a promise to support America in the war with Japan.

On November 19, 2021, Prime Minister Morawiecki met with the US National Intelligence Director, Ms. Avril Haines. The meeting was also attended by the heads of the Ministry of Interior and Administration, the Ministry of National Defense and the presidential BBN (National Security Bureau). The visit had not been previously announced and took place as part of urgent allied consultations on the situation on NATO's eastern flank.

A Book that No One in Poland Has Heard of

Already in the first days of my internment in Birštonas, near Kaunas, on the Nemunas, I went for a walk along the river at the camp's border. Suddenly I noticed a small object shining in the sun. I picked it up and smiled. It was a silver thaler from 1580. On one side it showed the image of Stefan Batory with the Latin inscriptions «Stephanus, Rex Poloniae, Magnus Dux Lituaniae», and on the other side there was the coat of arms of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth."
