Great Lakes historian, antiquarian and author based in Madison, Wisconsin. He is the author of "Fathoms Deep but not Forgotten: Wisconsin's Lost Ships" and currently serves as president of the Wisconsin Underwater Archeology Association. An authority on antiquarian books, maps, ephemera and photos related to the Great Lakes region. He has appeared on the History Channel, National Geographic Channel, Discovery Channel and Travel Channel discussing Great Lakes history topics. Descended from two of Milwaukee's oldest Polish immigrant families and has done extensive genealogical and historical research into Milwaukee's 19th century Polish communities.
