While another installment of the Polish-Polish war is taking place in Poland's most important legislative institution — the Polish Sejm — and politicians' private grudges dominate the debate on Polish agency and security, the withdrawal of American troops from Polish territory is taking place quietly, without much fanfare.

The Silent Unseen (pol. Cichociemni) were the elite of the Polish Armed Forces, designated for special tasks. They were among the best trained soldiers in the ranks of the Allies during World War II.

The tragedy of Poland, and of the Home Army generation, was that the Republic of Poland, attacked by two totalitarian powers bound by an agreement – ​​Germany and the Soviet Union – did not regain independence after the end of World War II.

Under the yoke of brutal occupation, Poles managed to create the Home Army – a well-organised armed force that served the entire free world.

Pilecki – today referred to as "the man who volunteered for Auschwitz" – remained a forgotten figure for years. Until 1989, all information related to the life and achievements of Witold Pilecki was subject to censorship in the Polish People's Republic.

On September 22, 2024, a monument dedicated to the Heroes of the "Fight for Independence after 1944-45 and Solidarity" was erected at the Polish cemetery in Doylestown, Pennsylvania. The unveiling ceremony was attended by, among others, the President of the Republic of Poland, Andrzej Duda.

The Border Protection Corps (Korpus Ochrony Pogranicza, KOP) was established one hundred years ago, on 17 September 1924. For exactly fifteen years, until the USSR attacked Poland in 1939, it guarded our eastern border. Given the continued threat to our security, it is worth noting this unique military formation.

When German Chancellor Olaf Scholz announced the Zeitenwende on February 27, 2022, it was meant to be a watershed moment in German foreign and security policy.

The F-35 program, although considered groundbreaking in terms of technology and combat capabilities, has been controversial from the very beginning. The main problems with the F-35 include its huge costs, prolonged delivery times and numerous technical problems.

On August 28, 2024, a ceremony took place in Fort Worth, Texas, which went down in history of the Polish Air Force. Poland officially received its first F-35A "Husarz" (Winged Cavalryman) fighter plane.

Failure of the Kursk operation could lead to escalation of the conflict, huge losses in people and equipment, and a dramatic deterioration of the situation on other fronts. This is a big stake and the Ukrainian leadership has put a lot on one scale. We will see if it was right.
