Born and raised in Denver, Colorado, lived in Virginia, Florida, Maryland, and Oklahoma, he now lives in Dallas, Texas, with his wife, Martha. Earned his B.A. in Theatre Arts at The University of West Florida in Pensacola (1983). His theological studies were completed at Perkins School of Theology, Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas (M.Div., 1990; D.Min.,1996). He also held Graduate Assistantships at Oklahoma University in Norman and Meadows School of The Arts, Southern Methodist University, Dallas. Before retirement, he was a parish minister in several North Texas faith communities spanning 35 years. His ministerial travels have included Israel, Greece, The United Kingdom, Mexico, South Korea, Africa, Germany, France, Switzerland, The Czech Republic, Finland, and Poland. By God's grace, he responded to a call to go to Warsaw, Poland, where he will work with the city's Chamber of Commerce to teach English to Ukrainian refugees helping them to find sustainable jobs.
